The mesh collects a fine gray and black film of mold, pollen, dust and insect debris. That film is what makes an enclosure look dull and what cuts down how much light reaches the deck. It comes off with a solution and a gentle rinse, not with force. The aluminum frame is different: it holds oxidation and streaking on the horizontals and thick buildup where the beams meet, and it takes a slightly different treatment to bring back.

We work the enclosure top down, panel by panel, so the debris we release from the upper screens is rinsed off the lower panels rather than left there. The kick plates at the bottom, the door frame and the door track get hand attention because that is where the heaviest buildup sits and where the eye lands from inside the deck.

Screen mesh can be pushed out of its spline or torn outright by pressure that would not touch a wall. It can also be stretched permanently, which shows up afterwards as a saggy panel. So screens see low pressure and volume, applied at a distance and at an angle rather than straight into the mesh, and we let the solution do the work while it dwells.
